A simplified radical expresses a square root in its simplest form by factoring out perfect squares. For example, √72 = √(36 × 2) = 6√2. The calculator finds the largest perfect square factor and moves its root outside the radical sign, leaving the smallest possible number under the radical.
Can I calculate the square root of a negative number?+
